Tigridia - Mixed Colors

The Mexican Shell Flowers, 'Tigridia', produce triangular shaped flowers with vivid colors of scarlet, yellow, pink, orange, red and white. The flower throats are spotted with red, purple or mahogany. These Mexican native bulbs have flashy summertime blooms to 6 inches across. The individual flowers last just one day, but since there are a number of buds, the blooming period lasts for several weeks. They are great in containers, borders, or flower beds. They are hardy in USDA zones 8 - 10. In colder areas, dig the bulbs in the fall and store until spring. ... additional information
